Mantova finally knows all its rivals for the 2026-27 season. The Serie B team will face a season rich in derbies and intense challenges. The highlight will be the match against Verona, which the biancorossi have not faced since the 2006-07 season. The Cremonese has returned, having resisted in A for only one year. The Vicenza has risen from C, with which the Acm has duelled in the fabulous championship of promotion. Regarding that tournament, the Padova has remained. So has the Modena, another traditional rival 'of fire'. Expanding the horizons, there are 10 represented regions. Compared to last year, Lazio, Abruzzo and Puglia are missing; instead, the Marches have returned, thanks to Ascoli. The most represented (a bit of a surprise) is Tuscany, which presents itself at the starting line with the newly promoted Arezzo, the relegated Pisa, the consolidated Carrarese and Empoli. At a quota of three are Veneto (with the already mentioned Verona, Padova and Vicenza) and Campania (Benevento has joined Avellino and Juve Stabia). Only two representatives for Lombardy (Mantova and Cremonese), Emilia Romagna (Cesena and Modena) and Liguria (Sampdoria and Entella). The Trentino Alto Adige is content with Sudtirol, the Marches with Ascoli, Calabria with Catanzaro and Sicily with Palermo. There are no spectacular returns. Just think that the team that has been away from B for the longest time is Arezzo. It was the 2006-07 season, not a century ago. Curiosity: in that championship, and also in the previous one, Mantova debuted against Arezzo. Is there no two without three? We will find out at the end of July, when the calendars are drawn up. In any case, there will be fun.
